Welcome to the Landlord Expo website

Expo 2009 took place on Thursday 14th May 2009 from 1.00 until 8.00 pm at the Holiday Inn

The focus for Expo 09 was ENERGY with two main themes; Safe Energy and Save Energy.

Safe Energy focused on gas safety and electric safety, while Save Energy looked at energy efficiency measures and energy performance certificates.

This was the ninth annual Landlord Expo to be held by the West of England group of Local Authorities.

The West of England Group is made up of four Local Authorities, namely:

  • Bath & North East Somerset Council
  • Bristol City Council
  • North Somerset Council
  • South Gloucestershire Council.

The event is also supported by the Bristol Association of Letting and Managing Agents (BALMA) and the Association of Residential Letting Agents. (ARLA).

Registering online using the ‘Registration’ button on the left-hand menu will enable you to print a fast-track registration ticket for the day. If you are a company planning to exhibit then you can book your stand from the control panel once registered.

The West of England Landlord Expo is the largest local authority run landlord event in the UK** and it’s aim is to improve the private rented sector by sharing information with landlords, prospective landlords, letting agents and managers. There were around 60 exhibitors at the Expo 2009, along with 18 seminars running throughout the day. There were an estimated 600* visitors on the day.

The Expo 2009 was held on Thursday 14th May 2009 at the Holiday Inn, Hambrook, just off Junction 1 of the M32 and from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. Complimentary refreshments were available to delegates throughout the day. For a map of the venue and to get directions click here.

On the day there was information on many subjects from planning your finances to the current requirements for fire alarms in rented accommodation. Building on our experiences of previous Expos, landlord forums and other landlord shows, the Expo 2009 was the most successful yet. So whether you are the owner of a large property portfolio including licensable houses in multiple occupation (HMOs), a small buy to let landlord, or are thinking of investing in the private rented sector then the Landlord Expo 2009 is the landlord exhibition for you.
